If you’re writing psuedocode, which I agree you are, you are being totally transparent, I guess some of your critics don’t get that.

pseudocode is a perfect description of your posts. Problem is those that have a hard time reading your posts don’t know code period. I love the pseudocode approach because it gives your content so much breadth. I plan on asking more questions about the ideas the “pseudocode” (not trying to spam that word) produce in my brain. Keep posting often. My office and I are all brand new fans because of the pseudocode! Sorry did I use that stupid word pseudocode again..

I must admit that there are certain posts which have very advanced tactics. those are a bit difficult to understand.
I think that you should put up a poll on very important page and ask the readers if they have understood your post well. Then look in those polls and modify content for which you received the maximum negative opinions from poll.

As a programmer I’m familiar with the term pseudocode. It simply means a structured, “top-level” way of presenting a concept, without all the details. I’d say you’re writing matches that (which isn’t a bad thing).

I’ve been an occasional visitor to BlueHatSeo for at least a couple of years now. Sometimes I fully understand what it is you’re talking about, other times not-so-much.

Your post on Advanced White Hat Techniques was clearly way over my head. I am adept at working with HTML and CSS, and have published PHP-driven sites on open-source platforms, but have never actually coded anything that actually involves ‘programming’. I once attempted to design a widget in javascript but could never get it to work properly.

My question is this: what do I need to learn in terms of technology (or anything else you might suggest) in order to comprehend posts such as the one listed above?

For what it’s worth, I’ve spent a good many hours reading various SEO blogs from across the web. In my opinion, of all the people whose blogs and/or articles, how-to’s etc. I have read, I would rate you in my top-3 (perhaps even as high as #1) SEO experts on the web who blog. I’ll refrain from naming names of some of the other big names with whose work I am familiar, as most if not all of your readers would undoubtedly recognize many of them and I don’t wish to slight anyone personally.

That said, there are a few names and faces that we’re all familiar with (they speak at every major conference - you know who they are) that are widely regarded as the best in the business, and perhaps deservedly so. However, I haven’t read anything they’ve written that would give me any indication they’re in your league as far as knowledge and skill goes. Maybe that’s deliberate, or maybe they’re just overrated. In any case, I’ve enjoyed your work for a long time now and am glad I finally got around to commenting and publicly stating what I have thought for a long time.

That is your style and your tactics. I completely understand you and I love your posts because of the quality of content but also because of the particular writing style.

Sometimes I enjoy the process of writing the slightly gibbering SEO copywriting, but sometimes it can get quite annoying, stunting my writing. I like to ramble and not have to think about keywords once in a while!

It’s okay to experiment in a while. The quality of the blog is based on multiple posts, not just one.
