It is not a redirect it is a rewrite. meaning when they save it or play it it still appears to be whatever mp3 they are pulling. Just like in modrewrites with html. you can name it whatever you would like just change the last line
RewriteRule [^hotlinked].(mp3)$ http://www.mydomain.com/hotlinked.mp3 [R,NC]
to:
