I heard akismet is good to filter out comment spam.

Anyhow, maybe the search engines can employ these developers who develop these spam tools!

I guess that I would admit that phone phreakers stopped because almost everyone had a cell phone. So the amount of phreaking dropped with the amount of phone usage. I would say that cell phone hacking + phone phreaking today = the total amount of phreaking of before.

I personally have not touched a pay fone for almost 5 years.

So, vilo, you’ve aptly confirmed the point. Hire the ones creating the tools the Spammers are using. The tools dry up the spammer find something else to amuse themselves with.

I agree with an0n. 99% spammers just use tools developed by the rest (1% from-time-to-time-spamming gods).

Best way how to get rid of things like blog comment spam is - develop your own blogging platform with you own comments.

I guarantee you will only have handful of manually added spammy comments monthly.
