Its been over a year now, and I don't think google has implemented this change. Nice list of creative ways to take advantage once it does come into force!

My company, BizGrowth Search Engine Solutions, has recently compiled a resource called the BizGrowth SEO Control Panel which we are positioning to become the number one resource for all quality free search engine optimization tools on the internet. We currently have over 150 tools listed; ranging from keyword analyzers and meta tag generators to page rankers and site analyzers.

We would love it if you would check out the control panel, let us know what you think, and let your audience know about it if you like it. Here is the direct link to the page: http://www.bizgrowthseo.com/free_seo_control_tools.php

Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Another interesting post, and some interesting ideas. If rankings really start to be based on user behaviour then soem people will definetly make some big money.

To be honest though I really don't see how this could really help search engines. Such a system would definetly shake up rankings but how relevant will search become? Perhaps user behaviour will just become a powerful filter used to determine legitimate useful content.

If a page dosen't have enough quality juice from users then it can't rank. No matter how many authority, and quality links it has.

And the same way for those sites which only have good user rank juice. If they don't have the quality authority links to back it up they can't rank.
(sounds like some will make a lot of money and a lot will be makng non at all)

By the way still lookng forward to checking out your "blue hat tools"

Very good article. From my understanding of Google patents, a lot of these quality tracking measures are already in place, such as measures of bookmarking, time spent on page, returns to the site. Perhaps their overall importance will change in the future.

Another one you did not mention is CTR for the site's listing in the serps. A little script that calls results and clicks your serp can help your rankings...

How about this one for you all? Page Hijacking. In this fun little world of Link Bombing; it's not worth the effort to sneak redirects and frame busters into other peoples pages, but when a 70k/day competative phrase is on the line....How many little homepages will be safe?

Will popular Myspace profiles start outranking legitimate sites?
