I can get the first part of the Link Fetcher to work, but it is the second part the posting that just does nothing.

Is that the problem you had Eli? Any suggestions? I tried two different machines, but it just seems to do nothing when you press Start.

Hi Augustine,
I’ll quote the article to clear it up.
“What not to do with the script.
I would STRONGLY suggest you don’t link to these 50+ link pages on your main page or anywhere else on your site for that matter. The reasons are obvious, plus there really isn’t any reason to. Link Manager scripts don’t verify for placement in the search engines anyways. I would also recommend you don’t anticipate these links being of high quality or expect to see an extra thousand links to your site in the engines tomarrow.”

It would also be recommended to just delete the files when your done.

I am wondering using this will finally get you penalised by google. The reasons:
1. You are not sure about the quality of the site you are linking to. Linking to spammy sites can hurt your site.
2. Google doesnt like link exchange anyways.
3. As mentioned, too many links too soon, that too from sites with many links.. doesnt sound very good.
But it is also true that so many sites have got high PR using real link building.

very nice article. the data you can yield out of google queries can be fruitful. i also like your heavy backlinking of mid-point sites with the automated recip links
