Most of community sites fail - sounds very discouraging but given the community member loyalty and the possibility to build relationships, it's worth the efforts. Hard to launch means it will be difficult in the beginning but I don't expect profitable jobs to be easy. Except for that if the community starts working for itself (it's self-sustainable) this means that the hard job will be followed by an opportunity to rest a bit and enjoy the result of your efforts.
