Very nice tool to develop. Unfortunately I don't have the scripting skills to do this kind of stuff. If I am to go about learning a scripting language, what do you guys think I should start learning, php?

Are you seeing "immediate" benefit from this? I've seeded wikipedia several times, but haven't seen anything besides a small bump in traffic (via my inserted links)...no impact in SERPs for me.

I'd be surprised if SE's didn't have some type of "trust" timeframe on Wikipedia links. Example: if link has existed for 6mos, pass a bit more love, etc. etc.

As long as the articles are relevent, well written, and linked properly, what would be the problem.?

The title of the series is Wikipedia Links not Wikipedia Spam. It'll get increasingly more spammy as it goes but it will remain "sticky spam" at worst. Which will mean useful related articles and links, or at least as close as possible.

Ok, you have to define spam here. If the articles are relevent and well writen, then just because your using it for marketing techniques, doesn't make it spam.
Thats the key. those articles MUST be relevent and fit the wikipedia article!

From what I've seen wikipedia has an efficient anti-spam/vandalism team. I wonder if they'll start banning external links to domains that spam them. Of course then it could be used to block competitors from wikipedia.

Thank you for yet another excellent tactic.

This has almost unlimited potential for abuse. Look for ruthless spammers to run this into the ground any time soon, to the great satisfaction of Encyclopedia Britannica...
