uhh… im not really sure about the potential for success of the comic you started.

In terms of adding a blog to the site, why not have blog on a seperate site and share traffic as well as interlinking to the relevant deep linked URLs? I have considered having a blog on my site for a while now but I am starting to favour having a blog outside the site.

This is a great post!
Many times if people don’t get natural links to their content they don’t know what to do to get links. This means they resort to link exchanges and stuff like that.

These are some great ways to get one way links that can just be repeated and used over to get more and more links

The concept of market bait is very interesting. I was doing some of it, but never thought about it in the analytical way you did Eli.

You have some very nice ideas about getting some backlinks using various methods. I especially like the one where you can have a jokes sections as can be done with just about all sites.

Eli…shut the fuck up already…rofl. All kidding aside, this is a great post. So many times marketers get wrapped up in their own plans that they become blinded to other opportunities and can’t see the forrest for the trees…way to get people thinking outside of the proverbial box.

This is JUST what I was looking for; I can’t believe I didn’t think of it before. I am off to find a good source of marketing / internet marketing jokes!

I totaly agree with what you said about a joke section. I have recently encouraged a client to have a ‘joke of the day’ section on their blog. The return traffic to the site is amazing.
